To be eligible for the Dalhousie University International Scholarship, you must:
- Be a domestic or international student
- Be applying to pursue a postgraduate Master’s or Doctoral degree at Dalhousie
- Submit an application for the relevant scholarship based on your eligibility before the deadline
- Be eligible to receive scholarship support for a minimum of two years
- Meet the specific requirements of each scholarship
Dalhousie University Scholarship 2025 Duration and Reward
- Abdul Majid Bader Graduate Scholarship – $40,000 per year for up to two years
- Dalhousie Research Excellence Scholarship – $35,000 per year • Up to four years
- Chinese Scholarship Council – PhD scholarship – Tuition, airfare and living allowance for up to 4 years
- The Killam Predoctoral Scholarship offers two levels of funding:
- Level 1 (Master’s): Provides up to $25,000 per year for up to two years, along with international tuition fees and a relocation allowance, if applicable.
- Level 2 (Doctoral): Offers up to $30,000 per year for up to three years, in addition to the President’s Award for up to two years and a relocation allowance, if applicable.
- Nova Scotia Graduate Scholarship – $15,000 ($10,000 for Masters) per year for up to four years
- The Vitamin Scholarship – Doctoral – $21,000 per year for up to two years
- Scotia Scholars Award – $10,000/year (master’s) and $15,000/year (doctoral) • Up to 2 years (master’s) and up to 4 years (doctoral).
- Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships – $50,000 annually for three years.
How To Apply for the Dalhousie University Scholarship 2025
To apply for the Dalhousie University Scholarships, follow these steps using the Harmonized Scholarship portal:
- Log into the FGS Scholarship Management Platform.
- To create a new scholarship application, select “Create New…” and then choose “Major Scholarship Competitions.” Alternatively, you can edit an existing application by selecting it from the “My Applications” list on your homepage.
- Choose the application category that applies to you from the three available options.
- Additionally, you are encouraged to complete the self-identification questionnaire available on the online scholarship platform. While this step is optional, it is encouraged.
- Click “Save and Next” at the bottom of each page to progress through the application.
- Upload your official transcripts directly into the scholarship portal, as instructed in the application guidelines.
- Be sure to submit all reference assessments to the portal before the application deadline.
- Once everything is in order, agree to the terms and conditions, and then click “Save and Finalize” to submit your application..
