Types of Niger State Scholarships
The Niger State Scholarship Board provides the following types of scholarships to its indigenes studying both in Nigeria and internationally:
- Niger State Scholarship Bursary: This award is available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in tertiary institutions within Nigeria or abroad.
- Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) Scholarship: This specialized scholarship is a collaboration between the Federal Government of Nigeria and foreign countries in Europe, the Caribbean, and Asia.
- Special Scholarship Award: Awarded to secondary school students who achieve seven (7) distinctions in the WASSCE or NECO exams, this scholarship fully covers their tuition fees for studies within Nigeria and provides a 50% fee coverage for those studying abroad.
Eligibility for the Niger State Scholarships 2025
To be eligible for the Niger State Scholarships 2025, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of Niger State, Nigeria.
- Be enrolled as a student in a tertiary institution, either in Nigeria or abroad.
- Have full-time admission status at the institution.
- Provide certified true translations for admission letters that are in languages other than English.
