Nigerian undergraduates who are full-time first-year students interested in and enrolled in tertiary institutions in the 2024/2025 academic session can now apply for the 2024 NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme. Through the NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme, Nigerian students can receive an annual award of N300,000, which can be renewed according on their academic performance.

Applicants for the NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme must:
- Be a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and currently residing there.
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an approved federal or state-owned institution in Nigeria for the 2024–2025 academic year as a full-time first-year student.
- Have at least five O-Level credits in one sitting from WASC, SSCE, or NECO, including English and mathematics.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 25 while applying.
- Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship, bursary, or grant from any other organisation.
- NOT be a spouse, child, ward, or direct relation of staff of NLNG.
Additionally, applicants from Host Communities:
- Must be a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and an indigene of any of the NLNG’s Host Communities.
- Must provide a valid identification letter from the applicable host community and Local Government Council.

- Complete Application Form
- Passport photograph with white background not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px not more than 200kb)
- O-Level and UTME results
- University and JAMB Admission letter
- University student ID card
- National Population Commission Issued Birth certificate
- Local Government Area (LGA) letter of identification
- National ID Number (NIN) Slip
Additional Documents for Students from Host Communities
- Local Government Area (LGA) letter of identification
- Complete academic transcripts from 100 level to the most recent academic year, signed and stamped by the university’s registry, exams unit, or the appropriate authority.
- A community letter of identification must be signed by a Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman or paramount ruler/king.
