Eligibility Requirements For the UNESCO Great Wall China Scholarship 2025
To be eligible for the UNESCO Great Wall China Scholarship 2025, interested candidates must:
- To be eligible for the study program, candidates must meet the age, language, and academic qualifications specific to their chosen course:
One-year Visiting Scholar Programs:
- For General Scholar Programs, applicants must have a high school diploma and be no older than 45 years.
- For Senior Scholar Programs, applicants must possess a master’s degree or hold an associate professor position (or higher) and be no older than 50 years.
- Proficiency in English is required. If applying for a Chinese-taught program as a General or Senior Visiting Scholar, candidates must have a Chinese proficiency of at least HSK Level 3.
Degree Programmes
- Applicants for Master’s Degree Programs must hold a bachelor’s degree and be no older than 35 years. For Doctoral Degree Programs, candidates must have a master’s degree and be no older than 40 years.
- English proficiency is required. For candidates applying to a Chinese-taught degree program, Chinese proficiency must meet at least HSK Level 4.
- Applicants must meet the admission requirements of the chosen university, including academic qualifications, language proficiency, and other relevant criteria.
- Candidates should be in good physical and mental health.
